Subsequent to the sad demise late last year of one of our colleagues, composer/producer Scott Singer of Singer Productions, his estate is now beginning the process of selling all of the equipment in his recording/production studio in San Francisco. Singer was honored with four Emmy Awards for both musical composition and production, and his studio contains a wide variety of high quality equipment—all of which is meticulously maintained.

Clinton Recording Studios in New York City announces that June 30 will mark the last day of operations at the building on 653 10th Avenue that has been its home since its doors opened in December 1983. Clinton Recording Studios states that it will announce new developments in the near future.

Christina Aguilera completed her fourth full-length studio album, Bionic, in sessions with mastering engineer Brian "Big Bass" Gardner at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood. Bionic is Aguilera's first studio album since Back to Basics in 2006.

DK-Technologies in Copenhagen, Denmark, announces a new software upgrade that allows existing DK customers to adapt their audio meters so that the display shows loudness in a clear and easy to read format, while still showing any of the usual DK metering scales. The company states that no matter what loudness measurement standard the industry finally decides to adopt, all DK meters will be upgradable to accommodate those recommendations.
