SOUNDWAVE ANNOUNCE LINE UP
Soundwave Festival is back for its fourth outing with De La Soul, DJ Yoda and Ghostpoet all announced to play.
Other acts announced so far, for the festival which takes place between July 19-23, include Submotion Orchestra, DJ Cheeba and Kwes.
The festival takes place on Croatia's stunning Dalmatian coast, making it one of Europe's most sun kissed festival settings.

Taken from Amy Winehouse’s ‘Lioness Hidden Treasures’ album, the recording of this standout moment began back in August 2002, with Salaam Remi laying down ‘Half Time’ during the ‘Frank’ sessions. Finished by Questlove of The Roots, this is the Winehouse school of jazz at it’s soulful best. A real Winehouse classic.

NEW MOODYMANN LP OUT SOON?
Ripples of excitement have been spreading online following a cryptic post on Moodymann's Facebook page, hinting at the release of a new LP.
The post features a video accompanied with: "New LP coming soon. Produced by Moody. Executive producer Jimmy D. Featuring ????"
There's not much to go on, but it's enough to confidently assume there's new Moodymann material on it's way.

Basscamp and Winter Sessions have both announced their line ups for 2012.
Basscamp, taking place high up in the French Alps in Morzine, takes place between April 2-6 and boasts a line up including Foamo, High Rankin, The Correspondents and Benny Page.
Winter Session Weekender, taking place between March 30-31 has announced Norman Jay, Zero 7, Trojan Soundsystem and DJ Cheeba for their event taking place in Chamonix, France.
Both are snow sport based festivals so expect a whole host of snow based shenanigans to accompany a their steller line ups.

In a recent interview Nicolas Jaar said commercial dance music in the US is the "epitome of capitalism", linking the fact that people stay out listening to dance music for longer, upping the sales of booze.
He said: "I think it's all tied to the fact that, if you go to a rock concert and you see a band play, you have a couple of beers, and then hang out for an hour and a half and then you leave. If you go see David Guetta or a DJ you're gonna go to a club, drink five drinks, then get drunk and buy even more and stay for seven hours. So in the end it's a better business."

Crosstown Rebels will be back in Miami this March for the seventh outing of their annual shindig at the Winter Music Conference.
Taking over the Electric Pickle, one of Miami's most intimate clubs, a sizeable chunk of the Crosstown family will provide the tunes including Maceo Plex, Art Department, Jozif and label boss, Damian Lazarus.
Other names for the party, which takes place on March 24, include Fabric resident, Craig Richards, Eats Everything and live performances from Dan Berkson and James What.

Alexa Chung is on a roll. After being signed to front numerous uber cool brands in 2011, she has now been announced as the face and the Creative Director of Italian footwear brand Superga for spring summer 2012.
Alexa was given full creative control and styled the campaign shoot along with photographer Guy Aroch. As per usual, Chung looks effortlessly cool and quirky even when covered from the neck downwards with a duvet and has really added her unique brand of hipster chic to the brand.
